Last week I had the worst week of 2012, granted we’re only 3 weeks in, but still, it was terrible.
We had a death in the family, I had to pay out £320 to get the damage on my car fixed and I got a parking ticket from the lovely people at Islington council, £130!
By the end of the week I was pretty pissed off, de-motivated and feeling really quite negative about everything, not like me at all.
So over the weekend I had a word with myself, put things into perspective and decided to move forwards, by Monday I was feeling much better, even though my Auntie was still gone, my wallet was still down £320 and Islington council were still on my back.
So nothing had changed, except my mindset, I figured there’s no point dwelling on the crappy things that are going off when there’s so much opportunity out there!
What has happened this week (and it’s only Wednesday) is a reinforcement of my beliefs that ‘you attract what you focus on’, unlike last week where my negativity was attracting more negative things, this week with my regular, positive mindset I’ve discovered my new car doesn’t actually need a deposit, that’s £380 I thought I had to pay out, the same car comes with 1 years free insurance which I didn’t know about, awesome, and our hard work at Prime Mover is paying off as we near the 300 mark on our membership, mega-awesome!
Moral of the story is, ‘keep your mind on the good things and forget the crap’, usually you can’t do anything about the crap anyway, and by focussing on all that is great in your life you’ll just attract more.
